I have a lot of memories with food. the most apparent one is Bob Chinn's Seafood and Steak House. Every time we go there it is either my birthday or my brother or I go off to college. It has some of the best seafood in Chicago. It has one of the most elaborate salad bars I have every seen. This is one of the few times when my family actually gets together with each other because of how busy we all are. I feel like these writing have a very good point because most people have emotional ties with meals. Whether it is someone who it is someone who eats a whole tub of ice cream after a rough day, or someone who just had a hard work out some people like to eat as much as they can. It is also true that people can connect food to a person. For me, I connect chop suey with my great grand mother. She always used to say that I am chop suey when I would do something wrong, which was fairly often. She was the first death that I went through in my life, which makes it one of the most memorable foods. I think both of these authors make very good points because people make a lot different connections with food, whether or not it is positive or negative. Food makes a lot of memories with me, like I will connect the caesar salad that I'm currently eating with this blog I am writing.

The Last Supper
For my last meal, I choice to dine in Nelson Hall. Nelson Hall is easily the worst food on campus. The reason that I went there was because my friend that joined me on this excursion wanted a sandwich from the Sandwich Guy. In all reality he does make a mean sandwich, but it is simply not worth the wait. I have been going to lunch with this same group of friends for months. I can be entertaining to eat with these people, however sometimes it is strictly business. The only thing that Nelson can kind of pull off is Mexican food. Today they had enchiladas, which were okay. The standard grilled cheese and hamburger, which is served everyday, got old after about a week, it is very rare that I come out of Nelson thinking that I throughly enjoyed that meal. At the end, there was actually a pretty solid cookie that we could put on toppings. It was good for Nelson, but it was pretty crappy in all other standards. It was a fun lunch because we discussed all of our spring breaks, some of us had better spring breaks than others. I went to California, the weather was bad and our group was small because one of the people got mono right before the trip.
